Charles F. Reeves scrapbook, 1874-1907.

This collection consists of a scrapbook filled with newspaper clippings collected by Charles Francis Reeves and some event cards and programs from Penn State events between the dates 1874 and 1907. The newspaper clippings mostly pertain to political activities and poetry. The event cards include programs for Penn State commencement ceremonies, musicals, reserve corps events, and a playbill for Julius Caesar, where Reeves played Caesar.

Charles Francis Reeves, of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, graduated from Penn State in 1878 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He earned a Master of Science degree from Penn State in 1881. Reeves was a professor of modern languages and a university librarian from 1878 to 1890. From 1884 to 1890, he was also in charge of the business office as an assistant to the college president.
